If "sunshine" had a face, it would be Jose's. Born in Haiti and raised in Buford, Georgia, Jose is a true ball of joy—defined by a creative, intentional spirit that keeps everyone around him smiling. Whether he’s celebrating his friends' biggest milestones, hitting the trails for a hike, or catching flights to places like Brazil, he is always in his element when making memories with the people he loves.
A proud Georgia State alum, Jose's journey has taken him from exploring every corner of New York City, North Carolina, and Las Vegas. But no matter how busy life gets, he’ll always find time to be on the pitch playing futbol or cheering loudly for Chelsea, Flamengo, Haiti, and Brazil on match day. (Fun fact: If you see him, test his geography skills—he guarantees he knows more countries on a map than you do!)
As he steps into this beautiful new season with Freshdew, he remains deeply anchored in his faith, living out the truth of Philippians 2:3–4.
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
— Philippians 2:3–4 (NIV)
We are so honored to have you join us in celebrating this beautiful covenant. We can't wait to see you there!
Freshdew — nicknamed 'Fresh' by her loved ones — was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and later moved to the United States. As the only girl among four children, she grew up curious, talkative, creative, and full of big dreams, always desiring the best not only for herself, but for those around her.
A lover of life in every sense, Fresh values relationships deeply. Whether she's traveling, experiencing new things, or running her full-time Atlanta photography business, she carries a natural warmth that makes people feel truly seen. Creativity has always been woven into who she is — from studying film to capturing intentional moments through her lens today.
Above all, Fresh is a lover of Jesus Christ, living a life that honors God in a way that makes people wonder "how?" — giving her the opportunity to point them back to Him. As she steps into this new chapter with JJ, she carries a heart full of gratitude, knowing this is an answered prayer and a chapter only God could have written.

In the journey of life, love is never a random occurrence. It isn't a burst of cosmic luck or a coincidence from outer space; love is intentional. It is a gift that flows directly from the heart of Christ, who called us first to love one another. As it is written:
"If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing... Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth."
— 1 Corinthians 13:1–6
This journey of finding a life partner truly began when both Jose and Freshdew fully surrendered their lives to Christ. Though they had known each other years prior in school, the timing wasn't yet right. The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, knew there were things that needed to be adjusted and grown within them individually before He could bring them together as one.
In a season where Jose felt ready to find his partner, he sought the Lord's guidance. God answered through a simple invitation. A friend named Lauryn invited Jose to a Young Adult Night at Victory Church, and it was there that the "rest of history" began.
Jose ran into his old friend, Freshdew. What started as a greeting turned into an hour of the most intentional conversation either had ever experienced. It was guided by the Holy Spirit, feeling so "right" that a first date was the only natural next step.
From those first intentional steps, their bond flourished into a beautiful tapestry of milestones: from the sweetness of first hugs and first kisses to the depth of handwritten love letters and shared Bible studies. They have surrounded themselves with a loving community that reflects the heart of the Gospel.
They move forward now, not just as a couple, but as a reflection of Christ's love for His people, living out the call found in Ephesians 5:1–2, 21:
"Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God... Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ."
— Ephesians 5:1–2, 21
Where Christ is, love is also. Jose and Freshdew are living proof that when you surrender your heart to the Creator, He writes a love story more beautiful than anything we could imagine on our own.
